We learned a lot on Lady Liberty! I learned that the torch in her right hand was for the light of freedom. I also learned that her crown has seven rays. The rays stand for liberty shining on seven continents. Her book in her left hand says on the front of the book July 4th 1776 because thats when the U.S.A was born. The broken chains on her feet stand for freedom. Lady Liberty was born in October 1886. I looked this up on the internet (
